Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook tandoori items including tandoori chicken, chicken tikka, seekh kebabs, naan, and roti using a traditional tandoor oven
* Prepare a wide range of Indian curries (North Indian style preferred), including vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes
* Ensure consistency in flavour, portion size, and presentation
* Manage mise en place and kitchen preparation efficiently
* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in accordance with food safety regulations
* Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering ingredients
* Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods
* Minimise food waste and control costs
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Tandoori Chef and/or Curry Chef in an Indian restaurant
* Strong knowledge of Indian spices, marinades, gravies, and cooking techniques
* Ability to operate and maintain a tandoor oven
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Good time management and organisational skills
* Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
* Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
