Machine Operative | Farleigh Quarry, Mackay, QLD
Opportunity to join our team as a Quarry Operator at our Farleigh Quarry in Mackay, Queensland, on a permanent full-time basis. This role reports to the Quarry Manager. We seek experienced operators who prioritize safety and possess a strong work ethic.
Candidates must be willing to work up to 12-hour days and 5.5-day weeks during busy periods.
Financials:
* Your 38 hours are spread over 4 days of 9.5 hours each; overtime applies on the last day of the week and Saturdays, with the first 2 hours paid at 1.5x rate, and additional overtime at double time.
* Hourly rate ranges from $31.82 to $36.98, depending on experience.
In your new role, you will:
* Operate mobile equipment including dump trucks, front-end loaders, and excavators.
* Operate the crushing and screening plant.
* Perform general fixed plant maintenance and inspections.
* Contribute to all quarry tasks during busy periods.
* Commit to Zero Harm and safety leadership.
* Follow pre-start and maintenance procedures for fixed and mobile plants.
Ideal candidates will have:
* Experience in quarrying or mining.
* Experience operating front-end loaders, dump trucks, and/or excavators.
* The ability to work independently and in small teams.
* A professional work ethic and a 'can do' attitude.
