The primary focus of this role is to manage and lead a team of administrative staff supporting the Emergency Departments across Gold Coast University Hospital and Robina Hospital, ensuring the delivery of consistent, high-quality and patient-focused administrative services that contribute to safe and effective patient care

The Role

An opportunity has become available for several Administration Coordinators to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

* Lead a team providing quality administrative support services within the Emergency Departments
* Supervise assigned Emergency Department administration teams, providing professional guidance, coaching and development
* Manage, report and action data quality and management reports within required timeframes
* Lead by example by supporting during periods of high demand, staff absence or operational pressure

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

* Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella and Pertussis
* Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
* Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
* Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

* Permanent full time and permanent part time (two full time positions and several part time positions, hrs negotiable)
* Base salary ranging from $93 556 - $103 074 per annum, $47.18 - $51.98 per hour

About Us

People and Operations is responsible for steering Gold Coast Hospital and Health Services (GCHHS) strategy to improve Hospital and Health service performance through its people and key support systems. Administrative Services as part of People and Operations provides a range of administrative support across all GCHHS facilities. This position reports to the Administrative Supervisor, Emergency Care Services within People and Operations.
