Our client, RIP Contracting Pty Ltd is looking for Carpenters to join their company who are committed to high-quality workmanship and safety, for both residential and commercial clients.
Job Description
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Form work carpentry
* Review illustrations and specifications to determine job, material and equipment requirements and ensure correct construction.
* Construct and install roof drainage components and external flashings
* Cut wall and roof sheets neatly and accurately for the fitment of components such as windows, roof vents and doors.
* Fit roof vents, windows, sliding and hinged doors in sheds
* Safely use portable scaffold and or EWP's when working above 2m.
* Complete building fit outs and framing with timber
* Build decks and basic staircases
* Maintain a clean and safe workspace, and abide by workplace health and safety policies and procedures, including the use of harnesses
* Digging footings and setting posts
* Other tasks as directed
Qualification:
* Relevant experience for a similar role
* Extensive knowledge of power and hand tools
* Capable of climbing ladders and manual handling
* Excellent verbal and written communication
* Strong attention to detail
