About the Role
We are looking for a
Solution Designer
to lead the design and delivery of scalable, secure, and fit-for-purpose data solutions. This role focuses on integrating
SAP SuccessFactors
(HR system of record) with
Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
(enterprise data warehouse) and third-party SaaS applications, enabling advanced analytics, operational reporting, and compliance across the Talent & Culture domain.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Designer (SuccessFactors + GCP+ Third Party SaaS apps)
Purpose
To lead the design and delivery of scalable, secure, and fit-for-purpose data solutions that integrate SAP SuccessFactors (as the HR system of record) with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) (as the enterprise data warehouse), enabling advanced analytics, operational reporting, and compliance across the Talent & Culture (T&C) domain.
Key Responsibilities
1.
Solution Design for HR Data Products
o Lead the Solution Design stage to determine the optimal platform for delivery-e.g., SuccessFactors Report Centre, GCP (BigQuery/Tableau), or hybrid-based on data availability, latency, and user need.
o Define data integration patterns between SuccessFactors, ServiceNow, Qualtrics, and GCP, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and security standards.

Platform Governance & Guardrails
o Co-own and evolve solution design guardrails with Analytics team and Tech to fast-track delivery while maintaining consistency and compliance.
o Ensure adherence to release management cycles, ADF controls, and audit requirements, especially for privileged access and metric computation in GCP.
3.
Engineering Leadership
o Lead a chapter of engineers focused on data engineering, cloud architecture, and analytics enablement.
o Promote adoption of Golden Path patterns and Golden Pipelines to standardize C/CD and enforce engineering maturity across squads.
4.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
o Partner with Product Owners, Analysts, and Analytics team to translate business needs into technical user stories and data models that support HR metrics, dashboards, and compliance reporting.
o Act as a bridge between HR domain experts and cloud engineers, ensuring that data solutions are both technically sound and business-relevant.
Value Proposition
o Accelerates delivery by selecting the right platform early and reducing rework.
o Improves data quality and trust by enforcing consistent computation logic in GCP.
o Supports audit readiness through structured access reviews and documentation of privileged roles in SuccessFactors.
o Enables self-service analytics by designing reusable data assets and pipelines in GCP.
o Drives innovation by embedding engineering best practices and mentoring talent.
Role Justification
Strategic Alignment: The role ensures that HR data solutions align with enterprise cloud strategy and support business outcomes like workforce planning, compliance, and employee experience.
Risk Mitigation: By centralizing metric computation in GCP and enforcing access governance in SuccessFactors, the role reduces delivery and audit risks.
Efficiency Gains: Solution Designers reduce delivery time by 2-4 weeks per use case by clarifying platform fit and technical feasibility upfront and also design for scale.
