About the role
We're looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to join our team at our Bundamba branch.
In this hands-on role you'll oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring timely order dispatch, inventory integrity, and a safe working environment.
Responsible for our Warehouse Team as well as support for our Procurement Department - you possess sound interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral) and have the ability to work autonomously, have a good work ethic - with a 'can do' attitude - yet be team-focused. Strong computer skills are also necessary.
You'll manage a team, implement process improvements, and collaborate with Sales & Procurement Departments to deliver exceptional service for internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities
* The day-to-day operation of the warehouse - allocation of resources between the inbound, outbound and inventory teams as well as management of a team is a core principle of this position.
* Coordinate inventory control, stock levels and stock rotation processes.
* Assist with implementation of, and enforce, warehouse policies, safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
* Monitor warehouse layout, equipment, and space utilisation for maximum efficiency
* Supervise and coordinate all warehouse activities including receiving, storing, picking, packing and shipping
* Collaborate with internal Departments as well as logistics to ensure timely fulfillment.
* Provide performance analysis and assist with development of action plans to address variances to company planning.
* Ensure accurate and timely processing of all inbound shipments (finished goods, raw materials, sample stock) within KPI targets.
* Manage outbound shipments to meet customer dispatch requirements in line with business KPIs.
* Organise transportation schedules to prioritise urgent shipments and maintain efficient product flow, avoiding bottlenecks.
* Maintain inventory accuracy through SOP compliance, daily cycle counts, and investigation of discrepancies with corrective actions.
* Drive quality and safety standards by implementing improvement actions, and championing WHS and risk management to ensure a safe, compliant workplace.
About you
You must have
* Minimum Cert IV in Warehousing / Logistics or equivalent experience of 5+ years' warehouse leadership experience.
* Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
* Strong understanding of WHS principles and an uncompromising attitude toward promoting and ensuring a safe workplace for all.
* Solid IT skills working with Microsoft and MYOB ERP (preferred).
* Effective communication skills with strong attention to detail
* The ability to liaise effectively with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective delivery of product and service
* Prior experience in an OEM parts department offering expert parts and accessory interpretation (desirable)
* A desire to meet and exceed customer expectations, company goals and OEM KPIs
* The capacity to implement and follow and maintain internal processes and procedures.
* Current Forklift License (Preferred)
* The ability to 'think on your feet' and be pro-active.
