My client is looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join their team in Fairfield NSW. This is a hands-on workshop role working on large industrial 4-stroke diesel engines and associated equipment. If you're safety-focused, reliable, and passionate about delivering high-quality service, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
What you'll be doing
* Overhaul and service large industrial diesel engines and sub-assemblies
* Carry out repairs, maintenance, and reconditioning work
* Follow manufacturer's instructions and company procedures.
* Complete job reports, timesheets, and documentation accurately
* Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment
* Participate in toolbox and pre-start meetings
What we're looking for
* Trade qualification in Heavy Diesel Mechanics or similar
* Previous hands-on experience in diesel engine servicing and repairs
* Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Good communication skills and basic computer literacy
* Current Australian Driving Licence
* Forklift Licence (highly regarded)
