About the role
The Directorate is accountable for the custody and containment, care and wellbeing, reparation, development, and reintegration of people within their supervision.
The Gardens and Grounds Officer provides the maintenance of the grounds, gardens, and turf to produce products and services to support prison operations. The position provides on the job instruction and supervision to prisoners who work in this area.
Eligibility
A requirement for Wooroloo Prison Farm is to possess a current valid medium rigid class “MR” motor vehicle driving license.
Possess a current valid Provide First Aid (HLTAID003) accreditation (or equivalent eg Senior First Aid) received from an accredited training provider with a minimum of 12 months validity remaining.
To be eligible for a permanent appointment to the Western Australian public sector it is essential that you are an Australian citizen or have permanent residency status in Australia. To be eligible for a fixed term appointment you must have documentary evidence of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the duration of the contract.
All employees are required to undergo employment screening, which includes a National Criminal History Check and other checks that may be relevant to the position requirements.
