* We have two exciting opportunities for a Production Process Engineer to join our team, working on the newest ship platform, the Hobart Class Destroyer naval ships.
The successful candidates will be responsible for developing manufacturing/production processes, procedures and plans. They will also develop, validate and tailor manufacturing/production processes, instructions, capability sheets, handbooks and practices for the DDG Hobart Class Destroyer naval ships.
In this role, you will provide engineering support to the production teams to mature the build strategy plan, the manufacturing plan and other deliverables. You will also support the review of the DDG Destroyer ship capability enhancement changes and the effect on production.
This is a fantastic opportunity to collaborate effectively and build good relationships with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining a positive culture. You will also support the validation and improvement of manufacturing processes and systems including supporting the technology transfer within the growing production teams.
About the Role
* Manufacturing/production engineering experience and skills/knowledge with production processes
* Relevant technical qualification and the ability to interpret production/engineering drawings
* Good computer skills and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
* Good interpersonal skills, self-motivation, and driven to improve current production processes and solve problems
* Knowledge of the Hobart Class Destroyer naval ship platform, is highly regarded but not essential
