POSITION OBJECTIVES
An exciting opportunity is available for a Project Manager / Project Engineer to plan, manage and deliver a range of civil construction projects as part of our growing team of experienced professionals.
Projects include demolition works, road construction, subdivisions, underground services and associated civil infrastructure works. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of projects, including planning, programming, cost control, quality, safety, and stakeholder coordination.
You will work closely with site supervisors, engineers, subcontractors and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with contractual and technical requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Plan, manage and deliver civil construction projects from award through to completion
* Develop project programs, construction methodologies and resource plans
* Manage project budgets, forecasting, variations, progress claims and cost reporting
* Coordinate site supervisors, subcontractors, suppliers and internal resources
* Liaise with clients, consultants, utilities and authorities to ensure project objectives are met
* Ensure works are delivered in accordance with design drawings, specifications, technical standards and contractual requirements
* Identify, manage and mitigate project risks and opportunities
* Ensure compliance with company management systems, WHS requirements and environmental obligations
* Provide regular reporting to senior management on progress, costs, risks and outcomes
* Promote a positive safety culture and support site teams through leadership and mentoring
* Maintain accurate project documentation, records and reporting systems
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives across project delivery processes
POSITION SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
* Previous experience in a Project Manager or Project Engineer role within civil construction
* Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (preferred)
* Strong understanding of civil construction methodologies, contracts and specifications
* Proven ability to manage project budgets, schedules and resources
* Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder management skills
* Strong safety focus with a commitment to best practice WHS outcomes
* Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team environment
* Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
* Construction White Card
* Current driver's licence
* A commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in project delivery
