About the Role
Durable Systems operates Duraclad and Duraglaze, supplying architectural aluminium systems to builders, architects and developers. Our scope includes aluminium battens, window shrouds, perforated mesh, windows and doors.
We are not a retail business. We work in live construction environments where accuracy, timing and decisions directly affect margin, program and buildability.
We're looking for a Sales Estimator / Project Consultant to manage projects end-to-end — from first enquiry through to production handover.
This is a hands-on, commercially accountable role combining sales, estimating, site measures and technical coordination.

The Role
You'll take ownership of jobs from start to finish, including:
* Client engagement and deal closing
* Site measures and technical confirmation
* Pricing, quoting and scope definition
* Handover into production
You'll work closely with directors and production teams, with the autonomy to manage your own workload. This is not a desk-only estimating role and not a pure sales role.

Key Responsibilities
Sales & Client Management
* Manage inbound and outbound enquiries
* Meet builders and clients on site
* Understand project scope, constraints and timelines
* Present pricing and system solutions
* Close deals and secure approvals
Estimating & Pricing
* Measure jobs on site or review drawings
* Prepare accurate, buildable quotes
* Understand margin, risk and scope boundaries
* Manage variations and scope changes
Site Measures & Technical Control
* Conduct accurate site measures
* Identify clashes, access issues and install constraints
* Translate site conditions into production-ready information
Production Handover
* Finalise dimensions and scope for fabrication
* Coordinate handover to production
* Support projects through manufacture and delivery

Authority
You'll be trusted to price work commercially, push back on unclear or risky scope, and make decisions that protect margin and buildability. Support is available, but this role is not micromanaged.

About You
You likely have experience in construction, aluminium, glazing, façades or building products, and you're comfortable on site dealing with builders and trades.
You:
* Understand drawings, site conditions and sequencing
* Can sell confidently while thinking technically
* Take ownership of outcomes, not just tasks
* Stay calm under pressure and follow work through
Highly regarded
* Aluminium, glazing, joinery or façade background
* Estimating or trade experience
* Technical sales or hybrid commercial roles
Australian work rights required.
