About the Role We are seeking an experienced and motivated Waiter (Supervisor) to join our Food and Beverage team on a full-time basis. Reporting to the Food and Beverage Manager, the successful candidate will supervise front-of-house service operations and lead a team of waiting staff to deliver an exceptional dining experience.

Key Duties and Responsibilities The Waiter (Supervisor) performs all duties of a Waiter and additionally carries out the following higher supervisory responsibilities.

· Setting and arranging tables in preparation for service

· Greeting customers and presenting them with menus and beverage lists

· Taking orders and relaying them to kitchen and bar staff

· Serving food and beverages to guests in a professional and timely manner

· Opening bottles and pouring beverages as required

· Clearing tables and returning dishes and cutlery to the kitchen

· Removing empty bottles and used glasses from tables, and refilling and replacing glasses

· Collecting payments for sales and operating point-of-sale machines and cash registers

· Recommending wines and beverages to complement food selections

Supervisory Responsibilities

· Supervising and coordinating the day-to-day activities of food and beverage service staff during all service periods

· Training, mentoring and providing on-the-job coaching to junior waiting and service staff

· Conducting pre-service briefings to communicate specials, service standards and operational requirements

· Monitoring service quality and ensuring all food and beverage service meets established standards and procedures

· Liaising with kitchen management to coordinate timely and accurate delivery of meals

· Handling guest enquiries, feedback and complaints professionally and resolving service issues

· Assisting with rostering, scheduling and allocation of duties for front-of-house team members

· Monitoring and maintaining stock levels of beverages, glassware, linen and service equipment

· Ensuring compliance with all food safety, hygiene and liquor licensing (RSA) regulations • Performing opening and closing duties including point-of-sale reconciliation and venue security procedures

· Assisting the Food and Beverage Manager with operational planning, reporting and performance management as required

Skills and Experience Required To be considered for this position, candidates must demonstrate the following:

· Minimum 2 years of experience in a food and beverage service role within a hotel, restaurant or comparable hospitality environment Demonstrated supervisory or team leader experience in a hospitality or food service setting

· Strong knowledge of food and beverage service techniques and contemporary dining practices

· Sound understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements (Food Handler Certificate or equivalent preferred)

· Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification, or willingness to obtain prior to commencement Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine passion for hospitality Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

· Availability to work across a rotating roster including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays

Desirable

· Certificate III or IV in Hospitality (or equivalent qualification)

· Experience in a luxury hotel or resort environment

· Previous experience using point-of-sale (POS) systems

· Barista skills or knowledge of wine and beverage service

Pay: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
