Job Description
The Senior Marketing Officer - Events plays a key role in supporting the execution of marketing and promotions aligned to the Events & Engagement and Brand teams. This position is responsible for supporting the events marketing program delivery, fostering strong stakeholder relationships, and ensuring the effective management of paid media, creative, merchandise and promotional materials aligned to business objectives. The role ensures outputs are consistent, high quality, and aligned to media and brand guidelines. The role requires the ability to work flexibly across the channel portfolio aligned to business objectives.
You will:
* Input to the events marketing strategy ensuring alignment with the National Events & Engagement and Brand teams.
* Plan and coordinate advertising and event promotional campaign across paid, owned and earned channels.
* Manage event promotional campaign timelines, approvals, and budgets to ensure timely and effective delivery.
* Work with the Recruitment and Events Delivery function to ensure promotional activities are integrated with event operations.
* Lead the design, development and rollout of event marketing collateral including event staff builds and displays, brochures, flyers and print materials, digital and social media content and information session decks and presentations.
* Ensure all event creative and content adheres to brand guidelines and delivers consistent messaging.
* Liaise with creative agencies, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure high quality production and promotional assets.
* Work collaboratively with the Recruitment, Event & Engagement Brand and Media teams to ensure alignment across initiatives.
* Act as the marketing point of contact for event marketing related initiatives, providing strategic and operational advice.
* Track, measure, and report on event marketing performance, providing insights and recommendations to improve future campaigns.
* Monitor competitor and industry trends to inform strategy, creative approaches and innovations.
* Drive continuous improvement in the delivery of event marketing to maximise engagement and ROI.
* Maintain knowledge of the wider ADF and service current and future recruitment targets, presenting opportunities for ADF to leverage, where appropriate
* Other duties consistent with classification level.
Candidate's Profile
Your background will demonstrate:
* 5-8 plus years' industry experience in events marketing or a similar related field.
* Experience in marketing and advertising of event campaigns, development of promotional materials and innovative event solutions.
* Demonstrated ability to coordinate event campaigns, manage agencies, and deliver projects on time and budget.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Detail-orientated and organised with strong project management skills.
* Strong analytical skills with experience in reporting and performance.
* Curious and proactive, keeping up to date with event trends and innovations.
