Level A Associate Lecturer (Educational Specialist):

$79,704 to $ 106,927 pa + 17% Super + Leave Loading

Level B Lecturer (Teaching and Research) or (Education Specialist): $112,381 to $132,831 pa + 17% Super + Leave Loading

* Campus location: Toowoomba or Springfield campus

Who you are

You are a passionate and forward-thinking educator and researcher with a strong grounding in Industrial Technologies and Design Education, and have a genuine commitment to contemporary curriculum and pedagogy. You bring energy and creativity to teaching, connect theory with authentic industry practice, and want to inspire pre-service teachers to design and think critically. Confident working across digital and physical technologies, you are collaborative, student-focused and motivated to contribute to a vibrant teaching and research culture. What you'll do

UniSQ is seeking candidates who are innovative, collaborative and dedicated to advancing the field of Industrial Technologies and Design Education. You will deliver engaging, reflective and student-centred learning experiences across face-to-face and blended environments, using contemporary digital technologies to connect curriculum, pedagogy and practice. You will contribute to high-quality, impactful research that advances Industrial Technologies and Design Education, building research capability through collaboration, mentoring HDR students and supporting the growth of research teams. Working across Initial Teacher Education programs, you will inspire future educators for diverse learning contexts, including regional, rural and remote settings, while contributing to locally grounded, globally relevant curriculum design. You will also play an active role in internal service and external engagement, maintain professional currency, and contribute positively to UniSQ's collegial and inclusive academic culture.

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:

You will hold a doctoral qualification or equivalent accreditation in a relevant discipline and bring a strong foundation in teaching and research in curriculum and pedagogy. You demonstrate the ability to deliver engaging, reflective and student-centred higher education teaching, informed by contemporary educational practice. You are an active and collaborative scholar with the capacity to contribute to high-quality research outputs, work effectively with others, attract research funding and advance knowledge in your field. Your commitment to professional development, collegiality and continuous improvement will support your success and impact within UniSQ's academic community.

Salary: Total remuneration range:

Appointment at Level B: $132,997 to $157,200 pa (includes salary range of $112,381 to $ gross pa, employer super contributions of 17% and annual leave loading)

Appointment at Level A: $94,509 to 126,788 pa (includes salary range of $79,704 to $106,927 gross pa, employer super contributions of 17% and annual leave loading)
