Our client within Queensland State Government is looking for an experienced Administration Officer to work in their Cairns office for approximately 8 weeks.
In this role you will:
* Provide efficient, professional and responsive customer service to internal and external customers.
* Monitor and manage internal and external correspondence, including telephone enquiries, and ensure timely responses within required timeframes.
* Maintain high standards of accuracy when preparing documents and reports and updating records and information systems, including Ellipse and Microsoft Office.
* Monitor and manage internal and external correspondence, including telephone enquiries, and ensure timely responses within required timeframes.
* Develop and maintain procedures, manuals and registers, while identifying opportunities to improve existing processes.
* Undertake a broad range of general administrative duties as required to support day-to-day operations.
The successful candidate will:
* Bring strong attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of your work.
* Have the ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and maintain a high standard of output.
* Demonstrate intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills and are confident using business systems and the Microsoft Office suite.
* Basic accounts knowledge will be well regarded.
