**Job Description**:
**Your New Role**
Leidos Australia, is seeking a Program Financial Analyst to support program activities; including the financial management of contracts within the Aviation industry; annual budgets, monthly forecasts, month end closing including accruals, program performance reporting and project profitability analysis.
You will have the ability to leverage a hybrid working arrangement.
**Specific Functions**
- Monthly variance analysis and financial reporting across programs
- Compilation and review of budgets using actual performance, previous budget figures
- Coordinate multiple financial cost analysis functions, including cost allocation, setting up cost control systems, collecting data, controlling costs and preparing reports that maintain the Company's cost accounting system
- Responsible for administration and reporting of overhead budgets, charge codes and cost allocation
- Liaison to the business for indirect cost rates, compliance with Cost Principles
- Business partnering with delivery and operations personnel to provide financial advice to meet organisational goals.
**Qualifications**:
**About You and What You'll Bring**
At least a Bachelors Degree in a related discipline, coupled with demonstrable finance experience (5-7 years) from a project based complex business workplace, including budget development, financial control, forecasting, variance analysis and business partnering.
Relevant certification and professional memberships (CPA/CA) is desirable.
**Experience**
You will demonstrate a pro-active approach with the ability to understand the business, identify issues and develop relationships to achieve the company's objectives. You will also have:
- Experience in a global business would be valuable, along with familiarity with systems such as CostPoint or similar and OAC/OBI. Experience working in aviation and/or defence industries will be highly regarded.
- An ability to balance competing priorities and meet tight deadlines is essential along with strong relationship skills, a proactive attitude and an ability to quickly learn new systems and processes.
- Strong working knowledge of and skills in MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) is essential.
- Financial management, reporting and governance.
- Proven experience in understanding and controlling costs across projects and project delivery teams to success.
**_ To be successful you must be an Australian Citizen and preferably hold a current baseline security clearance or at a minimum be able to obtain one._**
