About the company:
A family owned builder who have been established for 45 years with plans to double in size over the next year due to some massive project wins.
They specialise in unique commercial, government, and defence projects across Australia and D&C modular buildings in the Pacific Islands and Africa. They are looking for an experienced senior structural project engineer to have full responsibility for the structural package for a new Australian Government building in the Solomon Islands.
What your day looks like:
* Review structural designs, prepare detailed mark-ups, and coordinate adjustments to ensure alignment with project requirements.
* Oversee material sand structures for load capacity, durability, and environmental resilience.
* Manage quality assurance for all structural works, conducting inspections to maintain high standards and compliance.
* Collaborate closely with site teams, subcontractors, and consultants to resolve design and construction challenges.
* Monitor project timelines, budget allocations, and resource use to meet project milestones efficiently.
About you:
* 7+ years structural engineering experience in the construction industry. Ideally with experience working for a civil subcontractor.
* Expertise in structural desing, analysis, and project execution on large scale projects.
* Ideally have PMP certification, plus eligible to register on state structural engineering register.
* Strong understanding of Australian standards and local regulations - Must have a minimum of 5 years experience working in the Australian construction industry.
* Willingness to travel overseas for site visits during the construction stage.
