**What’s the prospect?**
Reporting to the Procurement Manager, this role provides the used-car sales department with a supply of marketable used cars and assists the Procurement Manager in maximising sales opportunities through effective valuing and buying trade stock.
**Further to the above the duties and responsibilities of this role will include, but are not limited to, the following**:
- Valuing vehicles offered for trade in
- Arranging direct purchase of stock to meet the trading needs of the used car sales centres
- Ensure online valuation leads are actioned
- Support retail sites by achieving monthly vehicle acquisition targets
- Ensure suitable stock mix is available
- Maintain strong relationships with the team
- Provide supporting documentation for all deals within approved timeframes
**About you**:
- Previous experience working in a purchasing team - desirable not essential
- Good knowledge of purchasing, commercial understanding, and cost breakdown - desirable not essential
- Negotiation skills
- Valid driver's licence
- Ability to build and maintain effective and productive relationships
