East West Fire Services is looking for a Fire Technician with Vehicle Fire Suppression experience to join our team. Some out of town work will be required but you will be based in Townsville. As a Fire Technician at East West Fire Services you will play a crucial role in maintaining and servicing fire safety equipment for our clients across Townsville, QLD. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, ensuring the safety and compliance of fire protection systems. Must hold a current QBCC License.
What you'll be doing
* Inspecting, testing and maintaining a variety of fire protection equipment such as fire extinguishers, fire hose reels and fire alarms and Vehicle Fire Suppression systems.
* Responding to call-outs and carrying out urgent repairs to restore fire safety systems
* Providing technical advice and guidance to clients on the proper use and maintenance of fire safety equipment
* Maintaining detailed records and documentation of all service and repair work
* Ensuring compliance with relevant fire safety regulations and standards
* Collaborating with the wider team to identify opportunities for process improvements
* What we're looking for
* Relevant qualifications in fire protection or a related technical field
* Vehicle Fire Suppression experience
* Minimum 3 years' experience as a fire technician or in a similar role
* Strong technical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and rectify issues with fire safety equipment
* Knowledge of fire safety regulations, standards and best practices
* Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information effectively
* A current driver's licence and the ability to travel to client sites as required

Pay: $50.00 – $60.00 per hour
