About the Role
Our organization is seeking an experienced professional to join our Cyber Security NSW Strategic Advisory Team as a Manager Strategic Advisory. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the NSW Government's response to cyber security risks and providing expert technical advice to protect government data.
As a key member of our team, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to interpret policy and legislative requirements, conduct risk assessments, and strengthen our overall security posture. This strategic role ensures the effective implementation of NSW Government cyber security strategies through expert advice and collaboration, safeguarding critical information across the state.
* Actively contribute to the implementation and maintenance of the NSW Government cyber security posture through provision of expert technical advice and direction.
* Perform technical assessments of information and cyber security controls and vulnerabilities to produce compliance reports and recommended actions.
* Provide expertise on information and cyber security risks, threat and vulnerability reports, penetration test reports, solution architecture designs.
* Review outcomes of security breaches to maintain compliance with whole-of-government cyber security policies and standards.

Cyber Security NSW is a whole-of-government function located within Digital NSW in the Department of Customer Service. Our mission is to ensure a cyber-safe NSW by protecting our systems and digital information. This is vital due to the many essential services NSW Government provides, including health, emergency services, and transport.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have experience in:
* Maintaining up-to-date knowledge and understanding of current and future NSW cyber security environment.
* Developing and maintaining positive stakeholder relationships to ensure oversight and value to cluster agencies.
* Having strong cyber governance, assurance, and reporting experience, preferably in a government environment.
* Being an Australian Citizen, including the ability to obtain and maintain a baseline or higher National Security Clearance and undergo a police check.

This role offers a competitive salary grade 11/12, with the base salary starting at $149,739 plus superannuation.
