This is a recruitment pool for Permanent Full-Time / Part-Time, Fixed-Term Full-Time / Part-Time and Casual appointments with the possibility of extensions and/or permanency.

Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and cultural input and consultation to consumers and their treating teams.
- Deliver education and training services to health professionals regarding mental health issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander consumers and their families.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with relevant community service agencies to provide collaborative, integrated and coordinated care.
- Work within the AMHL framework to improve outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander family structure, culture and customs.
- Understanding of the impact of colonisation, intergenerational trauma, and its effects on the contemporary Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.
- Understanding of practical, social and emotional wellbeing when working with consumers with mental health disorders and their families/significant others.
- Interpersonal skills, including problem solving, negotiation and the ability to develop collaborative partnerships.
- Valid “C” or “C.A.” class driver’s licence.
- The names and contact details of two current referees who can attest to suitability for the role.

Eligibility

For permanent appointments in WA public sector, you must be an Australian citizen or have permanent residency. For fixed-term appointments, you must have entitlement to live and work in Australia for the contract period.
