We’re looking for a PR Account Director who brings strong strategic thinking, media know-how, and a genuine passion for leading people and teams.

About the role
As PR Account Director, you’ll lead integrated communications projects across earned, owned and shared channels, guiding both the work and the people delivering it. You’ll play a senior role within our PR and Strategic Communications team, helping drive client outcomes, strengthen team capability, and build a positive, high-performing culture.
You’ll collaborate closely with internal creative, digital, strategy and audience teams to ensure campaigns are aligned and effective, while building strong relationships with clients and external stakeholders alike .
Role responsibilities include:
Team & Leadership
* Lead a small team working across multiple PR and communications accounts
* Provide day-to-day support, coaching and feedback to team members
* Help shape ways of working and contribute to team planning and capability-building
* Foster a strong, inclusive and values-led team culture
Media Relations
* Develop and execute media strategies across traditional, digital, and social platforms.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key journalists, editors, content creators and media outlets, with an emphasis on emerging digital news platforms.
* Pitch compelling stories and coordinate interviews, briefings, and events that generate high-value coverage across outlets and platforms.
* Develop integrated media strategies spanning traditional, digital, and emerging platforms.
* Build and maintain strong journalist, influencer, and creator relationships.
* Monitor news and digital trends to shape timely, context-aware responses.
Content, Communications & Stakeholder Management
* Lead the creation of clear and compelling communications materials, including communications plans, media releases and stakeholder engagement strategies, submissions.
* Craft narratives aligned with client priorities and public interests that resonate across diverse stakeholder groups.
* Design and oversee integrated campaigns and lead on close working with the creative, audience, digital and client management teams.
About you
We are looking for someone exceptional, not simply a box-ticker. Here’s what we'd ideally like to see:
* Extensive experience (6+ years) in PR or communications ideally within an integrated agency environment
* Exposure to government and not-for-profit clients, with an understanding of working within complex or regulated environments
* Strong leadership, management, and mentorship skills.
* Excellent strategic communication, writing, editing, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
* Comfortable operating independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, integrated agency environment.
* Entrepreneurial, proactive mindset with a passion for driving positive societal impact through your work.
