A leading energy infrastructure organisation is seeking a Principal OT Systems Specialist to provide functional leadership across the systems supporting electricity network operations, planning and asset management. This role sits at the intersection of operational technology and enterprise platforms, working closely with engineering, operations and technology teams to ensure systems are integrated, optimised and aligned with business and regulatory requirements.
You will play a key role in improving operational processes, enabling data-driven decision making and supporting the ongoing digital evolution of electricity network capabilities.
About the role
* Act as the functional subject matter expert across operational and enterprise systems supporting electricity network operations and asset management
* Translate operational and engineering requirements into system capabilities, workflows and functional improvements
* Collaborate with architecture, technology and vendor teams to improve integration across platforms such as SCADA, ADMS, GIS and enterprise asset management systems
* Identify opportunities to streamline processes across outage management, switching operations and asset lifecycle management
* Support the evolution of digital capabilities including network analytics, automation and data-driven insights
* Contribute to system roadmaps and technology strategies supporting the future operation of the electricity network
About you
* Strong experience within the energy, utilities or infrastructure sector, ideally within electricity distribution environments
* Deep understanding of operational technology platforms such as SCADA, ADMS, OMS or similar network control systems
* Experience working with enterprise systems including asset management platforms, geospatial systems or data environments
* Ability to translate operational or engineering requirements into system functionality and technology solutions
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills with experience working across operations, engineering, technology and vendor teams
* Systems thinker with the ability to identify integration opportunities and drive continuous improvement across complex environments
