Due to the ongoing growth of our client, we're on the hunt for a highly motivated Commercial Manager to join their thriving team in Newcastle. As the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for relationship management with key stakeholders, contract negotiation and performance, profitability and efficiency's throughout the company. This is a strategic role that will assist with improving capabilities and capacity of the team.
**About the role**:
- Monitor and analyse operations to establish its effectiveness and work with management to establish strategies for business improvement. 
- Manage commercial contract negotiations with existing and potential customers and stakeholders whilst building long term relationships with key stakeholders 
- Audit and provide recommendations on commercial contracts to ensure compliance, service capability, risk reduction and profitability. 
- Assist in the preparation tenders and provide guidance on tender opportunities ensuring performance parameters of all contracts are within service delivery capability 
- Assist in creating commercial contracts by identifying business, legal and operational requirements. 
- Negotiating and updating customer rate cards on a period basis. 
- Provide analysis on special projects including cost analysis and Cap Ex requirements 
- Provide profitability and efficiency analysis of operations, including segments of the business. 
- Collaborate with relevant operational employees, contractors, and relevant parties in determining Bill of Quantities, Scope of Works and assist in determining contractor capability and integrity in conjunction with the Finance team. 
- Implement new policies and procedures relating to the operations process. 
- Identifying any skills gaps in the organisation and undertaking a plan to minimise it.
**What we're looking for**:
- Previous experience in a similar role 
- Qualifications in finance, business or similar highly favourable 
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written 
- Sound judgment and ability to make critical decisions 
- Lead by example and set the tone for a positive atmosphere, 
- Ability to motivate others to meet demands, 
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, 
- Organisational and time-management skills, 
- Show initiative and take control of hurdles when they arise 
- Ability to Plan ahead and maintain strong stakeholder communication 
- Negotiation skills and conflict management 
- Ability to lead a team across multiple sites. 
- Strong analytical skills
