Key competencies (role specific criteria)
You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following key capabilities, knowledge and experience. Within the context of the responsibilities described above under 'your key responsibilities', the ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrated knowledge or the ability to acquire knowledge of the importance of standard precautions in dealing with patients and biological specimens.
- Proven ability to follow instructions and work conscientiously and accurately with mínimal supervision after careful instruction.
- Proven ability to work effectively as a member of a team and to communicate effectively with clients, clinical staff and colleagues
- Positive focus upon patient care within a hospital health care environment.
- Demonstrate a high level of commitment to the principles of quality management and continuous quality improvement.
Qualifications, registrations, and other requirements
- ŸNil. While not Mandatory a relevant qualification such as a Certificate 3 or 4 in Phlebotomy would be well regarded.
- This position requires the incumbent to participate in rosters that may include day shifts, weekends, public holidays and overtime as required. It is anticipated that service delivery will be continually optimised so there may be future changes to roster requirements.
- A current 'C' class licence.
