About the Program:
We are delivering a 6-month, grant-funded learner licence education program to support disadvantaged learners, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, newly arrived migrants, refugees, and young people from low socio-economic backgrounds. The program provides face-to-face workshops, PrepL support, professional driving lessons, and digital guidance.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a passionate, culturally aware facilitator to deliver interactive, inclusive, small-group workshops (12–18 participants). You will play a vital role in supporting learners to achieve their learner licence goals, build safe driving habits, and navigate digital platforms for PrepL and TMR systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Facilitate face-to-face learner licence workshops using plain language, visual aids, and interactive methods
* Provide pre- and post-workshop learner support, including guidance on PrepL completion and TMR CRN setup
* Mentor and assist participants from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
* Collaborate with schools, community organisations, and peer mentors to ensure learner support
* Contribute to workshop planning and continuous improvement of facilitation methods
Selection Criteria:
* Experience in community education, youth engagement, or adult learning
* Strong communication skills and ability to simplify complex information
* Culturally competent and sensitive to learners from diverse backgrounds
* Comfortable with digital tools and guiding learners in their use
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively
* Current Working with Children Check and relevant certifications
