Main Responsibilities:
* Lead the delivery of an effective proactive maintenance program for water and wastewater assets.
* Manage a small team and contractors to keep assets running smoothly and efficiently.
* Use data to plan ahead, spot trends, and improve how we work.
* Prepare reports, estimates, and updates to support good decision-making.
* Work closely with other teams, neighbouring councils, and government partners.
* Keep things on track with budgets, timelines, and compliance.
* Promote safe, innovative, and customer-focused ways of working.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A strong track record in leading maintenance programs, managing teams, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to guide both internal and external stakeholders through complex operational and legislative requirements.
* Solid experience in asset maintenance, contractor management, and team leadership.
* The ability to navigate competing priorities, deliver high-quality outcomes, and promote a strong culture of safety, innovation, and customer service.
