Join our Operations team as a Transmission Technician and take on a broad range of technical responsibilities across the Pilbara Grid Network - from planning and installation to commissioning, maintenance, and dismantling. Your work will directly support network reliability and service excellence, contributing to both divisional and corporate performance goals.
Your Impact
- Support six-week forward work planning and provide technical input to Asset Services, while coordinating daily operations for effective, budget conscious outcomes.
- Maintain and repair electrical and electronic equipment, including protection circuits, to ensure reliable network performance.
- Undertake testing and commissioning of network apparatus and associated system circuits.
- Troubleshoot faults, restore system integrity, and carry out switching, commissioning, and maintenance programs.
- Ensure transmission assets are built, commissioned, and maintained in line with the Transmission Asset Management Plan.
Your Expertise
- Strong knowledge and experience in transmission network operations, maintenance practices, and field procedures.
- Practical understanding of electrical protection systems across transmission and distribution networks.
- Familiarity with project, contract, and maintenance management systems relevant to transmission.
- Current unrestricted WA Electrical Workers Licence and demonstrated HV Switching experience.
- Proven commitment to safety and operational excellence in high voltage transmission environments.
