Role Description
The Redress Caseworker will be responsible for providing support to Redress Scheme applicants, conducting community outreach activities, promoting and raising awareness of the Redress Scheme.
Requirements
* Be of Aboriginal descent; identify as an Aboriginal person; and accepted as an Aboriginal person by the Aboriginal community.
* Minimal Certificate IV qualifications or proven experience in one or more of the following areas – family support, education or health and willingness to undertake further training.
* Demonstrated experience engaging with Aboriginal individuals, families and communities.
* Demonstrated experience in working with individuals that have experienced complex trauma.
* Thorough understanding of Stolen Generation history and the ongoing impacts of past removals.
