About the Role
InfraBuild Wire, in partnership with Chandler Macleod, is seeking reliable and safety-focused Machine Operators to join its operations team at the Mayfield site. This role involves operating fixed and mobile plant machinery within a steel manufacturing and processing environment. You will be part of a large, supportive team working to strict safety, quality, and production standards. Full training is provided, with genuine long-term and permanent opportunities available.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate wire drawing, fencing, galvanising, and fence post press machinery
* Operate machines used to bend and cut bar, steel, and mesh products
* Monitor production processes to ensure quality and efficiency targets are met
* Perform basic equipment checks and report faults or maintenance issues
* Handle steel products and materials safely, including manual handling up to 20kg
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment in line with site procedures
* Adhere to all safety, quality, and operational policies at all times
Skills and Qualifications
* Previous experience as a Machine Operator or in a similar industrial/manufacturing environment
* Current Forklift Licence (required prior to commencement).
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes and instructions
* Reliable work ethic with a strong commitment to safety
* Ability to work rotating shifts (5-day 8-hour or 7-day 12-hour rotations)
* Physically fit and capable of standing, bending, squatting, and manual handling
