Job DescriptionYou will play a key role in ensuring accurate reporting and cost control across the business's third-party logistics and internal transport operations. As the Part-Time Assistant Accountant, your responsibilities will include:
Monitoring fuel usage, vehicle fleet data, and depot mileage to support smarter decisions and cost efficiencyValidating third-party logistics data and updating financial and performance systemsSupporting weekly cost reporting and assisting in preparing period accounts, budgets, and balance sheet reviewsCollaborating with finance and depot teams to challenge and improve financial performance metricsEnsuring data is accurately captured, stored, and updated in line with internal systems and requirementsThis role suits someone methodical, curious, and confident in handling data, with a strong interest in logistics and finance.
The Successful ApplicantThe ideal candidate will have:
Advanced Excel skillsFamiliarity with SAP or similar financial/accounting systemsStrong attention to detail and a questioning mindsetExperience working to deadlines and managing multiple data inputsConfident communication skills with internal teams and external providersBonus: Exposure to databases/SQL and/or a background in logistics or accountingWhat's on OfferYou will be part of a business that values performance and continuous improvement.
