FIFO from Perth on a 2:1 roster, this newly created role offers hands-on experience in a laboratory environment and the chance to grow with a company that delivers results.
About the Role
The Laboratory Technician is responsible for accurate sampling, analysis and data reporting to support plant operations and metallurgical performance.
Key responsibilities include:
* Prepare and analyse samples from processing circuits and ore stockpiles
* Maintain accurate laboratory records, reports and QA/QC documentation
* Support metallurgical and processing teams with data to optimise plant performance
* Conduct routine laboratory maintenance and calibration of equipment
* Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in laboratory processes
* Support the ramp-up and ongoing operations of the processing plant
About You
You are detail-oriented, hands-on and passionate about supporting gold processing operations with accurate data.
Qualifications & Tickets:
* Relevant tertiary qualifications or Certificate III/IV in Laboratory Techniques or Metallurgy
* WA Manual Driver's Licence
* Senior First Aid (desirable)
Experience:
* Previous experience in a laboratory environment, ideally in the mining or metallurgical sector
* Understanding of QA/QC procedures and sampling techniques
* Ability to work independently and as part of a FIFO team
* Strong commitment to safety, accuracy, and reliability
