Event Coordinator Role

The Event Coordinator role is a pivotal position in the hospitality industry, requiring strong organisational and multitasking skills to manage group bookings and events. As an Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating event logistics, including venue selection, catering, and audio-visual requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

* Respond to inquiries for group bookings and events, qualifying leads and working closely with senior sales team members on new business opportunities.
* Assist in preparing proposals, contracts, and preliminary event packages with accuracy and professionalism.
* Collaborate with internal teams, including Reservations, Food & Beverage, Banquets, Kitchen, and Front Office, to ensure client needs are met.
* Maintain accurate group booking records, manage room blocks, and ensure all client requirements are documented.
* Prepare Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) for smaller events and support operations during pre-event briefings.
* Manage deposits and payments, oversee billing processes, and ensure financial accuracy post-event.
* Provide administrative support to the Sales & Marketing team, including reporting and system updates.

Requirements:

* A luxury attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and a high EQ are essential.
* Experience in event coordination or a similar administrative role in hospitality is preferred.
* Strong organisational and multitasking skills with exceptional attention to detail are required.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities are necessary.
* A client-focused mindset with a passion for luxury service and hospitality is essential.
* The ability to prepare Banquet Event Orders, conduct pre-event meetings, and prepare events reports is required.
