Job Summary
Biosecurity Queensland (BQ) plays a leadership role in the biosecurity system in collaboration with its stakeholders and leads the Queensland Government's efforts to protect the environment, biodiversity, human and animal health, industries and economy from plant and animal pest and disease threats. We are looking for a Biosecurity Officer to join our high performing team in the Invasive Plants and Animals program.
Responsibilities
* Contribute to regional operations including inspections, surveillance activities and eradication responses.
* Provide technical advice, undertake investigations, and support local government with invasive species planning.
Success Criteria
* Are dedicated to regional surveillance, response and compliance operations addressing high‐risk invasive species.
* Can manage your own work priorities, ensuring assigned tasks are undertaken promptly and meet the project deliverables.
* Are actively contributing as a member of a high‐performing team.
Requirements
* Applications remain current for 12 months.
