We're seeking an experienced Marketing Specialist - Communications, Events & Trade Marketing. This role can be based out of our Margaret River venue, or in Perth to work from home with travel to Margaret River as needed.

About the Role
As the Communications & Trade Marketing Specialist, you will play a central role in how Overstory shows up across trade partners, distributors, events, digital platforms, and industry touchpoints. This position sits at the intersection of marketing, sales support, brand presence, and communications, ensuring our trade-facing businesses are consistently represented with professionalism, creativity, and commercial intent.
You will work closely with sales, marketing, venue teams, and external stakeholders to coordinate trade marketing activity, brand activations, digital content, and industry engagement that strengthens both brand visibility and commercial outcomes across domestic and export markets.
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, as the Communications and Trade Marketing Specialist, your role will be to:
* Lead trade marketing support across distributors and export partners to ensure promotional activity is aligned with commercial objectives and brand standards
* Develop, update, and maintain POS material, merchandise, and marketing collateral specifically for trade use, ensuring partners and sales teams are equipped with high-quality, current assets
* Brief and manage graphic design projects across POS, events, promotions, and marketing collateral, working closely with designers and suppliers to deliver professional brand assets
* Coordinate brand events, trade shows, wine expos, and venue events, managing logistics, communications, and materials to ensure seamless brand representation
* Liaising with wine writers, reviewers, and industry contacts, and managing wine show submissions to support industry presence and exposure
* Manage digital platforms, including social media, CRM systems, and EDMs, ensuring content is engaging, consistent, and commercially relevant
* Maintain and update website and portfolio content to ensure accuracy, relevance, and brand alignment
* Coordinate photoshoots and content creation to support digital marketing and trade communications
* Support internal and corporate communications across Overstory channels, ensuring consistency of messaging and brand presentation across the business
* Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of trade marketing activities, campaigns, and events, using insights to inform future planning and improve outcomes
About You
We're looking for an experienced marketing professional who enjoys the variety that comes from working across trade marketing, events, digital content, and brand communications. You're comfortable working autonomously, confident coordinating multiple projects at once, and enjoy being the person who connects marketing activity to real commercial and brand outcomes.
You understand how marketing supports sales and trade relationships, and you take pride in ensuring a brand shows up consistently and professionally across every touchpoint.
You will have…
* Qualifications in marketing, commerce or related field
* A minimum of 3 years' experience in marketing, trade marketing, sales, or communications within wine, tourism, hospitality, or a brand-led environment
* Experience supporting trade partners, distributors, or export markets with promotional material and marketing activity
* Experience coordinating marketing campaigns, events, and brand activations from concept through to delivery
* Confidence briefing and managing creative work with designers, suppliers, or agencies
* Strong digital skills across social media, websites, CRMs and EDMs
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently
* A proactive, self-starting approach with the ability and initiative to work autonomously
* A strong sense of ownership, accountability, and follow-through on projects and responsibilities
* A genuine interest in wine and a desire to continue building wine knowledge
* A current driver's licence and willingness to travel to Margaret River as required if Perth based
