About the role:
The venue is a favourite for locals and visitors, a popular place for a plate of freshly shucked oysters and watching the pelicans on the deck. The Head Chef will be responsible for the management of kitchen and the BOH team, the creation of seasonal and function menus and involvement in events that attract out of towners to our beautiful region.
A strong background in catering, functions and seafood are desirable. The culture is bright, energetic and fast paced and the clientele are foodies and locals who you will need to become familiar with and create a menu that appeases the demand for fresh seafood and oysters
About You:
* Minimum 5 years experience
* Previous head chef experience within a similar fast-paced environment
* The ability to run a smooth, organized service
* Team leadership skills
* Passionate about the end product
* Professional, polished appearance (for our open kitchen)
* A positive attitude
