About the role


Reporting into the ANZ IO Lead; this role will have the overall accountability for Procurement activities for ANZ. The role will work closely with the ANZ IO Lead to provide support and as part of the ANZ IO management team representing Procurement function. The role will cover both directs and indirects categories and will be well supported from the Regional APMEA Procurement Team. In this role, the successful candidate is expected to agree and implement strategic sourcing activities, in collaboration with the APMEA Regional Sourcing team, with the goal of achieving cost reductions, while maintaining / improving service quality and vendor service levels. This role will also own in totality, specific buying categories for our plants in ANZ.


Key responsibilities


1. Partner with the APMEA Regional Category team to develop, plan, and execute regional sourcing strategies across ANZ.

2. Source selected raw materials and indirect services (outside of regional scope) in a timely and cost-effective manner, ensuring business requirements are met.

3. Build, manage, and own strategic supplier relationships within ANZ.

4. Track and analyse spend and performance across categories, assessing budgetary impact on technology and country P&L.

5. Lead local vendor selection and negotiation processes for ANZ-based suppliers.

6. Drive the PIPs program in collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure cost-savings targets are achieved.

7. Collaborate with Regional APMEA and Global Procurement teams on tenders and projects as required.

8. Identify, recruit, and maintain suppliers that deliver high-quality products and services at optimal cost, while upholding the highest standards of ethics and compliance.

9. Negotiate contracts and manage day-to-day supplier relationships, including establishing KPIs and conducting regular performance reviews focused on service delivery and value realization.

10. Provide local market intelligence, including sourcing analyses, supply scenario comparisons, and supplier research.

11. Analyse regional spend patterns and constructively challenge stakeholders on spending decisions.

12. Work cross-functionally to implement category-sourcing initiatives across the region.

13. Deliver end-to-end procurement activities for the ANZ region in close collaboration with the APMEA Regional team, including

* Negotiating service requests with vendors.

* Ensuring categories are contracted in line with sourcing strategies.

* Preparing and issuing purchase contracts and change notices.

* Reviewing contracts, bids, proposals, and supplier agreements for legal, commercial, and technical compliance.

* Evaluating supplier quotations using appropriate negotiation and purchasing techniques to optimise quality, cost, delivery, and service.

* Resolving operational issues with suppliers.

* Managing supplier claims and ensuring contract compliance with company policies.

* Capturing and reporting realised savings across the region.


Qualifications and skills


* Minimum of 5 years' relevant procurement experience in a comparable environment or category mix.

* Experience within the food industry in ANZ is highly desirable.

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.

* APICS and/or CIPS certification is advantageous.

* Highly collaborative, consultative, and effective in a matrix environment

* Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills

* Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, changing environment

* Analytical, solutions-focused, with strong problem-solving capability

* Results-driven, self-motivated, and accountable, with a continuous focus on cost and value

* Experienced in leading change and delivering sustainable outcomes

* Sound project management skills

* Willing to travel up to 30%
