Role Overview
This position is responsible for providing biomedical engineering maintenance and repair services to advanced radiation therapy apparatus used in the treatment of cancer.
The successful candidate will be a key member of a small, dedicated team working under the direction of a Senior Biomedical Technician.
Key Responsibilities:
* Service, repair and maintenance of complex electro-mechanical systems including radiation therapy equipment.
* Respond flexibly and efficiently to maintain clinical services.
* Communicate openly and effectively with the medical physics and broader clinical team and with equipment suppliers and service agents.
* Maintain accurate records in accordance with requirements.
About The Position:
Diploma of Electronics & Communications Engineering (or equivalent) or Electronics Trade certificate with extensive practical experience or 5 years' experience in the maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of complex electro-mechanical systems is required.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are necessary, with the ability to clearly speak accurate technical advice and guidance to all equipment stakeholders.
* A team player with demonstrated organisational skills which include the ability to multitask, prioritise and respond well to rapid change is necessary for this role.
