We are seeking a dedicated and highly engaging Economics Teacher to join our College community. This is a full time, ongoing position commencing Term 1, 2026.
About the role: Reporting to the Head of Learning Area – HASS, you will be a dynamic, committed, and experienced educator who demonstrates agility and innovation in teaching. This role involves teaching Year 11 and 12 Economics ATAR, leading a Pastoral Care Group (PCG), and contributing to the continuous development of our academic programs.
Key responsibilities:
* Teach Year 11 and 12 Economics ATAR courses with enthusiasm and expertise.
* Lead and manage a Pastoral Care Group, providing support and guidance to students.
* Implement differentiated teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs.
* Incorporate innovative and current pedagogical practices in lesson delivery.
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop new programs of work and lead subject-specific year level teams.
* Build positive, respectful, and inclusive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
What we are seeking:
* A committed and experienced Economics teacher with a strong track record for successful student results.
* Sound understanding of the Western Australian curriculum, particularly HASS, with proven ability to assess and report effectively.
* Experience designing and delivering differentiated and engaging units of work.
* Flexibility and enthusiasm to incorporate new technologies and innovative teaching methods.
* A collaborative spirit, willing to contribute to extra-curricular activities such as clubs, competitions, or support sessions.
* Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving educational environment.
* An appreciation for and commitment to the Catholic ethos of the College.
