Job Title: Environmental Sustainability Manager

This role is based at the site of the largest wind farm in NSW, located in Wellington.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop land use plans that align with project goals, community priorities, and sustainability practices.
* Lead initiatives to ensure sustainable management of natural resources, biodiversity, and ecosystems.
* Engage with local communities and stakeholders to promote environmental conservation.
* Oversee environmental impact assessments and mitigation strategies.
* Facilitate workshops on environmental hazards; ensure compliance with regulations.
* Develop training programs for employees and subcontractors.
* Ensure site staff are adequately skilled to perform their tasks.
* Develop policies ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
* Monitor and manage land tenure, leases, and agreements.
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualifications in Environmental science or related field.
* Minimum 15 years experience in land management, environmental sustainability, or cultural heritage preservation within the construction industry.
* Experience managing teams and fostering a positive work environment.
* Proficiency in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for mapping and analysing data.
* Knowledge of environmental impact assessment processes and methodologies.
* Deep understanding of environmental laws and principles.
* Managing budgets and finance, reporting, communicating issues will be considered beneficial.
* Willingness to work on a fly-in/fly-out basis with an industry-standard work cycle.
