Role Overview
Due to recent project wins, we are seeking experienced Structural Engineers to join our Construction Engineering team in Melbourne. Successful candidates will provide specialist staged analysis, construction methodology and temporary works design services to some of the biggest contractors constructing Melbourne's most significant building and major transport infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
* Detailed structural design of temporary works and associated impacts on permanent works.
* Client liaison, in conjunction with Project Directors and Associates, regarding current and future projects.
* Active involvement in all projects, including project resource management, in conjunction with the Project Directors.
* Successfully deliver current and future projects, while supporting RBG's reputation for innovation, technical excellence, quality, and project delivery.
* Proactively collaborate with team members, contributors, and stakeholders to maintain quality, timeliness, and coordination of project deliverables.
* Submit technical reports of a standard requiring minimal correction; and provide final review of reports.
Qualifications
* Relevant engineering qualifications – with a focus in Structural Engineering.
* 4+ years of structural engineering industry experience.
* Experience in the delivery of temporary works design is preferred but not required.
* Strong understanding of Australian codes and standards.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Experience in delivering detailed engineering drawings corresponding with the level of duties.
* Solid grounding in steel and concrete design.
* Excellent organisational and time‐management skills.
* Demonstrated design experience using relevant structural software.
* Possesses project management and hands‐on experience, encompassing administrative, commercial and technical aspects.
* Ability to work on own initiative and in a team environment.
