As a Financial Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of large rail infrastructure projects within the Rail Infrastructure Delivery Office.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial support to project teams, facilitating the production of timely and accurate monthly reports, and contributing to the improvement of finance processes.
Key responsibilities include delivering financial functions as directed by senior advisors, providing advice on procurement, operating across project and program-level financial environments, developing complex spreadsheet models, preparing analytical reports, and contributing to process improvement initiatives.
* Deliver financial functions as directed by senior advisors, including support with procurement and financial operations.
* Provide advice and direction on low to moderate risk procurements to ensure maximum value from supplier relationships.
* Operate effectively across both project and program-level financial environments, aligning broader financial reporting, governance, and performance frameworks within the Rail Infrastructure Delivery Office.
* Develop and maintain complex spreadsheet models for analysis and forecasting.
* Prepare timely and accurate analytical reports for management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
* Contribute to ongoing process improvement and implementation within the finance function, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
* Liaise and negotiate internally and externally with contractors' commercial managers where necessary.
