Hofmann Engineering in Bassendean has a vacancy for a Project Engineer to join its growing team.
We are looking for someone with experience in mechanical engineering or manufacturing.

About you
• Have well-developed organizational and/or project management skills including ability to manage conflicting priorities and high work volumes without affecting quality of service delivery;

• Associates at least an Australian bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent degree accredited by Engineers Australia;
• Trade or Engineering training of not less than 4 years.
• Proficient computer skills, including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, NX, CAM, Windows, Word and Excel;
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports;
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, teamwork skills;
• Able to work with limited supervision, follow directions, willingness to learn and results oriented while maintaining attention to detail The role
• Study functional statements, organizational charts and project information and determine functions and responsibilities of workers and departments and identify areas of duplication.
• Establish work measurement programs and analyze work samples to develop standards for labor utilization.
• Analyze work force usage, shop floor layout, data and production schedules and cost to determine best worker and equipment efficiencies.
• Direct and coordinate design and construction of equipment and machines in the workshop.
• Plan and maintain equipment and machines.
• Manage and plan manufacturing activities on the shop floor.
• Developing specifications for manufacture, and determining materials, equipment, piping, material flows, capacities and layout of plant and systems.
• Organizing and managing project labor and the delivery of materials, plant and equipment.
• Establishing standards and policies for installation, modification, quality control, testing, inspection and maintenance according to engineering principles and safety regulations.
• Inspecting plant to ensure optimum performance is maintained.
• Directing the maintenance of plant buildings and equipment, and coordinating the requirements for new designs, surveys and maintenance schedules
• Ensure all verbal communications with clients and suppliers is recorded and confirmed in writing;
• Maintain filing systems for jobs and tenders.
Ensure contract (job) files contain Tender Review documents.
Job files to contain a complete record of all transactions between the client and Hofmann Engineering: including enquiry, quote including workings, clients order, job scope, job cards, drawings, all job related test reports, all correspondence, variations, and QA documents;
• Ensure document control is maintained;
• Ensure that all quotes issued are recorded in the quote register;
• Advise product manager on all issues impacting on e1/4cient progress of projects from a technical and commercial point of view;
• To attend meetings both internally and externally as required;
