Store Manager - Fuel & Convenience Retail
About the Company:
A privately owned and expanding retail group is currently seeking two experienced and motivated Site Managers to lead operations at their well-established convenience and fuel locations in Elizabeth.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to take charge of busy, customer-focused sites, supported by a responsive head office team and regular input from regional operations leadership. Your Role
As a Site Manager, you'll be responsible for the complete operational oversight of your designated store. Leading a compact team of 5-6 casuals at Elizabeth, you'll ensure the site operates efficiently, safely, and in line with business standards.
This is a highly interactive, on-the-floor leadership role with a strong focus on service, compliance, team culture, and daily operational flow.
Key Duties Will Include:
* Managing daily operations including staffing, service delivery, and stock control
* Leading, training, and mentoring your team to meet performance expectations
* Creating and adjusting rosters and ensuring adequate shift coverage
* Monitoring stock levels, conducting stocktakes, and placing orders as required
* Handling customer queries, feedback, and conflict with professionalism
* Overseeing point-of-sale accuracy, daily banking, and invoice reconciliation
* Maintaining store cleanliness, presentation, and equipment functionality
* Enforcing workplace health and safety protocols and procedural compliance
* Collaborating with regional managers to meet operational and audit benchmarks
* Acting as the key contact for your site, driving improvements and team engagement
Who We're Looking For:
* Previous experience in a supervisory or management role in retail, service stations, hospitality, or QSR
* Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a diverse team
* High level of initiative, accountability, and decision-making
* A practical, hands‑on work ethic and a customer‑first mindset
* Ability to multitask, prioritise, and stay calm under pressure
* Reliable, organised, and results‑driven
* Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and public holidays
