Programmed is hiring Terminal Planners on behalf of a leading rail freight operator to join their growing planning team supporting a major contract. These Adelaide-based roles involve inbound and outbound planning with opportunities for cross-skilling across both streams. This is a hands-on role for candidates with strong supply chain experience and a focus on operational excellence.
Role Overview
* Contribute to the successful delivery of the planning portfolio, supporting teams, managers, customers, and stakeholders.
* Execute and maintain efficient load plans.
* Develop plans, diagrams, projects, and initiatives to manage variation against baseline schedules and forecasts.
* Provide material demand plans to logistics to ensure timely ordering and delivery.
* Produce regular performance reports and provide advice to managers and stakeholders.
* Optimise inventory levels to balance supply and demand, minimise costs, and ensure timely delivery.
* Monitor inventory performance, identify shortages or surpluses, and implement corrective actions.
Key Requirements
* Experience in supply chain and/or heavy industry (mandatory).
* Strong knowledge of modelling concepts and planning systems; supply chain knowledge preferred.
* Advanced computer skills, including Excel and planning/forecasting tools.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Proven ability to analyse complex technical issues and develop robust solutions.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
