Position Requirements
Applicants must be currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching. You must be able to teach VCE Systems Engineering and have proven experience in teaching STEM subjects.
Selection Criteria
* SC1 Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including the ability to integrate literacy and numeracy skills and respond to diverse learning needs.
* SC2 Demonstrated experience in planning and implementing high‑impact teaching strategies, guided by evidence of student learning growth.
* SC3 Demonstrated experience in monitoring and assessing student learning, using data to inform practice and provide feedback to students and parents.
* SC4 Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills; ability to establish collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues and the broader school community.
* SC5 Demonstrated behaviours and attitudes aligned with Department values; commitment to reflective practice and ongoing professional learning.
Key Responsibilities
* Direct teaching of groups and individual students in VCE Systems Engineering.
* Develop, implement and evaluate STEM curriculum and associated programs.
* Collaborate with staff to enhance teaching practices and student learning.
* Participate in staff, parent, and community meetings, camps, and excursions.
* Undertake other classroom‑related duties as directed by the Principal.
* Support student teachers and contribute to professional learning initiatives.
