**Key Responsibilities**:
- Understanding of planning and related legislation including both strategic and statutory planning.
- Ability to contribute to town and environmental planning projects.
- Ability, under guidance, to liaise with State Agencies, Councils, developers, stakeholders, consultants and the broader community.
- Awareness of relevant planning and environmental issues and willingness to develop skills through training.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite of programs. An interest in GIS would also be of value.
**Qualifications and experience**:
- Currently studying a relevant tertiary qualification in urban or town planning (or related discipline).
- Current driver's licence.
- You are looking for an prospect to gain experience in the industry as you progress toward completing your studies.
- Your experience and knowledge enable you to work independently on projects through to completion. You are also very comfortable working within a team.
- You have an awareness of relevant planning legislation, where to find it and how to interpret it.
- You have excellent time management and organisational skills.
