We are seeking a highly motivated and commercially minded finance professional to join a dynamic finance team in Brisbane South Bank. This role will play a key part in supporting strategic decision-making through high quality financial analysis, forecasting, modelling and business partnering across the Group.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the preparation of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts (Cash Flow and P&L;), including annual budgets.
* Prepare quarterly covenant reporting and supporting packs for banking partners.
* Perform monthly and ad hoc variance analysis and provide clear insights into key business drivers and financial performance.
* Prepare executive-level financial reporting and presentations for senior leadership, Board reporting and stakeholders.
* Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting, scenario planning, profitability analysis and strategic decision-making.
* Support working capital, cash flow and operational performance analysis across the Group.
Commercial Finance & Business Partnering
* Partner with operational and commercial leaders to support pricing, margin improvement and cost optimisation initiatives.
* Provide commercial insights and financial analysis to support strategic initiatives, contract negotiations and operational decision-making.
* Work cross-functionally with business leaders to identify growth opportunities and improve overall financial performance.
* Support preparation of monthly Board packs and ad hoc executive reporting.
* Undertake ad hoc modelling and analysis depending on business requirements.
Data & BI Oversight
* Provide commercial oversight of business reporting, dashboards and BI outputs.
* Work closely with offshore Data & BI Engineers, operational teams and business leaders to ensure the business is receiving accurate, timely and commercially meaningful insights.
* Improve reporting integrity, automation and consistency across the business.
* Assist in identifying opportunities to enhance reporting capability, operational insights and decision support tools.
* Ensure financial and operational reporting aligns with business objectives and executive reporting requirements.
Mergers & Acquisitions
* Lead and support financial due diligence on potential acquisitions across Holidays and Mixed Accommodation businesses.
* Engage with prospective sellers and external advisors throughout acquisition processes.
* Prepare investment papers and financial analysis for Board review, including acquisition recommendations and financing considerations.
* Support acquisition integration planning and post-acquisition performance tracking.
Financial Reporting & Compliance
* Prepare and review monthly financial reports, ensuring accuracy and consistency with accounting records.
* Support improvements to reporting processes, controls and financial governance.
* Assist with internal and external audits and ensure financial information remains accurate and up to date.
Who we're looking for:
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
* CPA, CA, CFA or CIMA qualifications preferred.
* 5+ years' experience in commercial finance, FP&A;, corporate finance or similar analytical finance roles.
* Robust financial modelling, forecasting and budgeting experience.
* Proven business partnering capability with the ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
* Experience supporting senior leadership and strategic decision-making.
* Strong Excel, analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‐paced environment.
* Highly organised, commercially focused and proactive in approach.
