We own and manage farms, factories, and distribution channels, ensuring complete control over the essential aspects of bringing livestock from paddock to plate.
We currently have a position available for an experienced Diesel Mechanic at our Warrnambool, Victoria site.
In this role, you will work alongside a team of skilled mechanical tradespeople to perform onsite maintenance, reporting to the Transport Manager.
You will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing heavy vehicles, mobile plant, and equipment efficiently to ensure the business's operational requirements are consistently met.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Perform repair and maintenance of heavy vehicles and equipment in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies
Undertake detailed inspections of heavy vehicles and equipment, correct equipment deficiencies and perform preventive maintenance on company own equipment
Identify and repair or report worn or failed components
Maintain accurate records (time, repair orders and parts usage) on computer
Follow administrative procedures for completion of DVRs as instructed
Complete service forms, brake forms and other paperwork accurately and legibly in accordance with company guidelines
Skills & Experiences
Trade qualification as a heavy vehicle / diesel mechanic
Good mechanical aptitude with basic knowledge of welding and fabrication would be advantage
Ability to troubleshoot and make repairs to basic wiring, control wiring and hydraulic systems
You have the right to work in Australia
You must pass a drug & alcohol test and be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical if required

Salary Range: $90,000-$105,000 pa + super
