About you
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Boilermaker/Welder to join our team on a full-time permanent basis in our Newcastle workshop. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years\' experience in a manufacturing environment, with appropriate trade certificates and the ability to read technical drawings.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings and specifications to fabricate and assemble large, heavy and complex metal components.
- Perform various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, Sub Arc and Stick welding, ensuring high-quality welds to relevant weld procedures.
- Operate and maintain workshop equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
- Conduct inspections and tests to ensure components meet quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications and Experience
- Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years\' experience in a manufacturing or heavy engineering environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques and metal fabrication processes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
